Artists make Guilford County a more vibrant, interesting, and connected place to live. But a thriving creative community requires more than talent. Artists also need financial resources, professional development, relationships, and opportunities to build sustainable creative careers.
The Artist Affinity Program is a three-year commitment to the artists who live and work in our community.
Your annual investment helps The Arts Council of Greater Greensboro make larger grants directly to artists while expanding the professional development, resources, and connections that help artists strengthen their creative practice and build sustainable careers.
And this is more than an annual gift. Over three years, Artist Affinity supporters will have opportunities to get to know the artists, learn about their work, understand the opportunities and challenges facing working artists, and see firsthand what thoughtful investment can make possible.

The Artist Affinity Program is designed as a growing three-year investment. At each level, your investment becomes part of a collective commitment to strengthening Guilford County’s community of artists.

Larger grants to artists
Your support allows The ACGG to increase the resources available through artist grantmaking, giving artists greater capacity to create, grow, take risks, and move their work forward.
Professional development
Artists gain access to workshops, learning opportunities, and practical resources in areas such as planning, marketing, financial management, audience development, revenue generation, and other skills that help sustain a creative practice.
Connection and community
The program creates opportunities for artists to build relationships with one another and with people in the community who believe that artists are essential to a thriving Guilford County.

Artist Affinity supporters will be invited into the work throughout their three-year commitment through opportunities to:
- Meet artists receiving support from The ACGG.
- Attend select artist gatherings, programs, and special experiences.
- Learn more about artists’ creative practices and professional journeys.
- See how grants and professional development work together to help artists grow.
- Become part of a community that values artists and wants them to live, work, and stay in Guilford County.
